Fun and Fitness at Meyersdal Square

Meyersdal Square shopping centre is ideally situated and easily accessible just off the R59 highway on Michelle Avenue, Randhart, Alberton.

The Action Sports Arena is situated at Meyersdal Square Shopping Centre.  Action Sports offers a large number of activities for residents in the surrounding areas:

-Four international indoor sports courts
-One international sand ball court
-A huge action sports bar
-Patio bar with pool tables
-Large T.V’S
-Outside patio
-Scorpions Nest restaurant and take-away
-Scorpions Kiosk
-Ladies and men’s showers.
-Ladies and men’s change rooms.

The action sports arena caters for the following action sports codes:
-Action cricket is a fun game that everybody can play.   Men and women, young and old, experienced and inexperienced can take part and have some fun.  A game lasts about 70 minutes with 8 players a side and 16 overs per game.  Players can join the Social, Corporate and Junior leagues.

-Action netball games are played 6 or 7 a side and can be played with men, women, boys and girls in the team.  The arena caters for privately organized social games, inter-company competitions and league games.  Casual games and private competitions can be accommodated.  League players can join the Social or Junior leagues.

-This is a relatively new sport on offer.  A team has 4 on field players and the goaltender.  League games last 40 minutes, and is ideal for a bit of exercise in a hectic schedule.  There is a Social league available at the arena.

-Action soccer is one of the most popular games.  League games last for 40 minutes.  A team has 3 on field players and a goalkeeper.  Bookings can be made for privately organized social games, inter-company regular competitions or casual games.  There are Social Premiership Wednesday and Sunday Leagues.  Action sports will also cater for special leagues and competitions when required.

-This is an exciting new team game that can be played by everybody young and old. The basic principles and skill of traditional volley ball is applied.  Teams have 4 or 6 players a side.  There are 3 sets of 15 minutes per game, 3 touches per side.  Points are awarded on each rally.  Social games are mostly played but special leagues and competitions can be accommodated.

-Corporate Events. Action Sport offers great packages for team building and corporate activities which include venue hire, tournaments, competitive pricing and multi sport venues.  Supporters have access to the bar, kiosk and catering facilities and have great vantage points to follow the games and share in the fun.

-Action Kids. This is the ideal venue for your kiddie’s parties.  Mom can sit back and relax and enjoy a hassle free party without having to clean up.  Different packages are available to suit your budget.  These may include venue hire, safe and secure environment, invitations, a medal, catering, party packs, face painters, birthday cakes and jumping castles depending on what package and extras you choose.
